As a teen there was a retinol product that I used to buy from a drugstore- it has some kind of acid in it and gently resurfaced the skin. Definitely not clean! Haven’t found anything like it in the clean beauty market but always remembered loving the way it made my skin feel 20 years ago. This is that exact same type of product. It’s gentle, none drying, but does just enough to gently resurface the skin with regular use.

Tried this for myself a year ago and loved it. Was looking something to add intense moisture and bounce to my dry winter skin and only wanted to use clean products and didn’t have any toxins or hormone disruptors. The Alpyn Barrier Repair Cream has been very comforting for my sensitive excema face. I also use another brand that is good for light moisture on warm days and when my face doesn't feel so irritated. Alpyn repair cream is great for added moisture.
